Shiki Dreams by Prismajic
There has been an increasing trend to create themed experiences and Shiki Dreams is one of these. It is located in Colorado Mills Mall in Lakewood. This experience pulls loosely from Japanese folklore. In Japanese shiki means four seasons. The focus creature kind of looks like a yeti, but is more like a forest spirit (in a way it could also be either a kami or yokai). In this adventure you use a black light flashlight to explore the world of Shiki and you can also do their scavenger hunt while you activate 'special' things to happen.

| I was a little disappointed in the souvenirs they had. They could have been making a lot of money if they had plushies of either Shiki or the dragon (watch out for that one, it will get you wet). |
Attached to Shiki Dreams was a themed bar called the Night Owl. This was a very whimsical area and would be great for those that like Renaissance festivals or cottage core.
The drinks and food are pricy for their size, but worth a try.

Hypocrites Can Be Found Anywhere and Everywhere
So....this is going to be like a dear dairy post. I have been in DEI/JEDI work for awhile now. My followers know that it has not always been easy for me, like the stuff around Gina. So recently I had something happen to me. I won't go into too much detail because I my sue on it, but I experienced a clear violation of DEI. In my case it was gender bias. I had my suspensions, but nothing concrete. Then someone that I thought I could trust that labels themselves as a DEI supporter and expert told me that it was gender bias. That the women being interviewed for the position were "too professional" for the job when compared to the males that interviewed. This person should have gone to their HR and reported this as soon as they had heard about it to raise their concerns with how the hiring was handled. When HR got back to me on a different issue also in relation to unprofessionalism in the hiring process I asked this person that had the inside information if they would be willing to talk to HR if I told the HR about it as well, and they said no that them going to HR could jeopardize their career and even the fact that they told me about the bias could jeopardize their career. They were more concerned with what could happen to them for pointing out bias then for actually practicing what they preach. They then tried to down play what they told me had been said by saying it wasn't that bad and that they had experienced worse during their career. At one point they also tried to end the call saying it was too "toxic" for them that I was calling them out for not really supporting DEI when it counted. Fair weather DEI experts is one of the types of people out there making the world worse. This is like one rape victim telling another it's no big deal. If women do not support each other when they know that what is happening is wrong, even if it is done by another woman (yah I said it a woman showed gender bias against me. People in a group can be just as bad as people outside a group by support stereotypes), then they are hypocrites.
The only saving grace of this situation is that I received this information in a phone call and big brother is always watching so I may be able to get a transcript or recording of the phone call where the person made a big deal of the gender bias when they think they wouldn't be called on.
So the overall point of this is that just because people play a game of being leaders in DEI/JEDI, their true colors show when real pressure is on. Calling people out for what they do is not easy, but it is a test of your character. At the end of the day you may be the only one that knows if you failed or not, but you still failed.

Protesting Gina Carano Updates
Positive Updates:
4/13/22-
Heard back from the Governor's office. It is nice that they support our activism on this subject and I did also reach out to the additional people that they mentioned in the email.
4/21/22-
Prof_Tickles helped share the petition on Reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/saltierthankrayt/comments/u902zw/a_friend_of_mine_emailed_the_people_in_charge_of/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Negative Updates:
4/21/22-
Below is an email from Rich at the Convention Center. Even though they do not have legal reasons to stop Gina's appearance they forget that has a business they can control who comes in and that they do have moral obligations to the community they serve. He also forgets that Fan Expo is still new to running this con and that they do not have the community's best interest in mind and only what money they can make off of people. He does not understand how many people will just avoid the event because they do not feel like it is a safe place and how her appearance is impacting their mental health. This also does not take into account the type of fans she attracts. Has her fans have already proven on social media, like attacks that I have shared on Geeked Colorado and my personal Facebook page, that they are willing to at least verbally attack people and use threats of violence to try and intimidate people. All of this is happening before people even set foot at the Convention Center and will just keep them away. This is a huge failure on the Convention Center's part to serve the whole community.

A Dive Into Gina Carano's Posts
A lot of her supporters are wanting examples of why people are "still" mad at her. Easy she keeps it up. This article will focus on posts from her different platforms and will be specific examples for people. While just scrolling through her stuff I just tried to pick the worst ones. Most of what she posts if it is not an advertisement for herself is just targeted and hurtful jokes. She doesn't even realize how bad they are. Then there were many that just support a lot of the falsehoods that conservatives love throwing out there even if they have been proved wrong. Also so people don't think that I'm just a person that disagrees with conservatives I actually agree with a lot of their views on immigration reform. As someone that has worked within the immigration system I have seen a lot of people abuse that system like students, sponsors, and schools. If you want to actually read a good book on what should be done to immigration in the U.S. I would recommend Immigration Wars: Forging an American Solution by Jeb Bush. Parties can have both good and bad points, but she is representing all of their bad points. If people have good ideas I'll let you know, or if they are just wrong I'll let you know that as well. This is only a sampling from different social media platforms....So let's begin.
Her Facebook page:

| This one shows that sometimes her stuff is just so wrong and far from the truth, that it has to be taken down by fact-checkers. |
![]() |
| Another time she got called out for false information. |
![]() |
| Her response for people taking down her falsehoods. She doesn't like being called out for being wrong. |
![]() |
| Here's another one of her showing how she doesn't like people "checking" her facts. She wants people to blindly follow her and not call her out for what she does. |

Gina Carano At 'IT' Again
So yesterday Fan Expo announced that they would be having Gina Carano there and the backlash started. Some people on Facebook are saying that they can't find what she has done so I'm writing this so I can put so resources together for people who don't want to do a google dive on her.
The question "How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?" shows how disconnected she is from the topic. There is a major difference between a religion and a political view. Politics are commonly used as a weapon to target religion or people having no religion. The whole point of what the Nazis did was that they used their political views to target and hurt people. Others feared also being targeted for being linked to them and that is why their neighbors turned on them. They didn't want to be linked to that religion. What happened during this time frame is just a small snap shot of the violence that the Jewish people have experienced over centuries. Our country was founded on the belief that everyone has a right to certain things and the practice of religion is one. One key part of this is also the impact that her post had on people that identify as Jewish.
That is the problem with her, she does not understand the negative impact her words and actions have on people. What she does is hurtful and the above response is just an example of a person that was hurt by her words and lack of understanding. Words have impact and because of how public she is her words can hurt many. I actually recommend people read Dave Weber or see a presentation by him on the impact of words.Unfortunately, right now in our country politics are once again being used to justify attacking people for their race/ethnicity, gender, religion, sexuality, and basic control over their body. All of this is mostly coming from a group of people that share a political view. This view has become linked to hate and stripping people of their basic rights like religion or their own body. The reason she lost her job was due to her openly supporting hateful political views and not even understanding the difference between how horrible it is to attack someone for their religion vs. people with political views that cause harm to others.
This is just one of the many things she has done. She has been a part of spreading misinformation about covid, supporting conspiracy theories, and the latest is blaming the war in Ukraine on Covid. Oddly enough this one also shows that she doesn't understand history in that situation either. Her main thing is mocking or making fun of people or situations she does not understand. Mocking is a form of hate and her posts should count as hate speech. This is because of the impact it has on people.
Many of these articles include her posts if you do not want to go digging through her social media to find them.
This article actually sums up a lot of what she has done: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9248331/Mandalorian-star-Gina-Carano-fired-series-Instagram-post.html
https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-56022084- This one goes into how she supported the 'rigged' election theory band wagon. There still is no proof (evidence) of mass issues with our voting system.
"Gina Carano is off 'The Mandalorian' over 'abhorrent and unacceptable' social media posts, Lucasfilm says"- This one also talks about her support of Trump. The interesting part of this article is that it covers how she will delete her posts once she starts to get a backlashing for them. This is actually part of the problem of why people can not find her stuff directly. She hides the evidence. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/02/11/gina-carano-mandalorian-star-wars/"Gina Carano Continues to Share COVID-19 Conspiracy Posts on Twitter"- https://fanfest.com/gina-carano-continues-to-share-covid-19-conspiracy-posts-on-twitter/
"Gina Carano Tweet Blasts FAD Over COVID Child Vaccination Decision"- Vaccines have history of helping people. It was actually FDR's push for polio research and vaccination that it does not run through our population destroying lives like it used to. Her lack of understanding how vaccines can save lives and improve people's quality of life shows in her posts. https://fanfest.com/gina-carano-tweet-blasts-fda-over-covid-child-vaccination-decision/
"Gina Carano believes the Ukraine invasion was caused by 'COVID narrative'"- This one shows how she doesn't even care to research the war before she throws her political views into it. This war was actually a long time in the coming. The whole region has been unstably both politically and socially. By her just focusing on a covid link she is diminishing Russia's history in the region and all of the people they have killed just because they want more power. Seeing bodies in the street doesn't seem to move her to understand how big this issue is. She just used the war to support her own covid rhetoric. https://thebrag.com/gina-carano-ukraine-invasion-covid-narrative/
These are just a few of the many articles and posts by her. It is not just one thing with her. She keeps poking people with a stick in the form of her actions and posts. This is why people do not want her at the convention. She does not care about the hurt she causes and is not willing to truly learn about the impact she has or the subjects she speaks about.

4/11/22: Ever since I have been vocal about openly protesting her presence at Fan Expo I have been personally attacked by her fans instead of them addressing the issues around her actions. This proves that Fan Expo inviting her has no stopped Fan Expo from being a safe environment for everyone. Below is a message from Facebook showing that they had to remove one of these comments due to it breaking their rules.

Black History Month 2022

2/3/22: "Texas parent who demanded Michelle Obama biography be removed from schools called the book 'leftist indoctrination,' document shows" - First off, as a parent if you don't want your kid reading a book, just don't check it out for your kid. Second, if the kid does want to read it, it shows that the child is wanting to be better educated then their parent by at least wanting to know more about subjects from both sides. As a person I fully admit that I am a Democrat, but at the same time I do read books by Republicans so that I can know what they are basing their arguments on. Then sometimes you can be amazed when you actual find a book with someone from other political views that just make common sense and touch on topics that cross political lines. For me it was Jeb Bush's book on immigration reform. As someone that has personally worked with immigrants and have had to deal with visas a lot of what he said would actually make an improvement to how we do things. It's parents like this article shows that is causing our country to become dumber and split the country with political hate. - https://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/lifestyle-buzz/texas-parent-who-demanded-michelle-obama-biography-be-removed-from-schools-called-the-book-leftist-indoctrination-document-shows/ar-AATs9qP?ocid=winp1taskbar
2/4/22: "By Celebrating Black History Month, Alabama Teachers Are Accused of Promoting Critical Race Theory" - Black history month predates Critical Race Theory and there is a difference between the two. People who do not understand the difference are just not educated enough to know the difference. At the same time it also does not mean that people are not working CRT into Black History Month material/event/..... There are a lot of issues with CRT not being based in history and should not be called "race" because it just focuses on people that identify as black and does not take into account all of the other "races" out there. At the same time using the term "race" is very dated an biased because it does not take into account region, culture, or personal identity. - https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/by-celebrating-black-history-month-alabama-teachers-are-accused-of-promoting-critical-race-theory/ar-AATtQ7c?ocid=winp1taskbar
